This Afternoon, Din Syamsuddin Declares The Pelita Party

JAKARTA - The former chairman of PP Muhammadiyah, Din Syamsuddin, will declare a new party this afternoon, Monday, February 28. The new party was named the Pelita Party. Din Syamsuddin said the declaration would be held in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, at 13.00 WIB.

"Declaration at the Joang '45 Building, from 13.00 to 13.30 WIB," said Din Syamsuddin to reporters, Monday, February 28.

Din Syamsuddin himself occupies the position of Chairman of the Party Advisory Council (MPP) in the party structure. Meanwhile, the general chairman is Beni Pramula.

Din emphasized that the Pelita Party declaration event had obtained permission from the police and the COVID-19 Task Force. The event will implement strict health protocols.

"With the permission of the police and the COVID-19 Task Force," said Din Syamsuddin. After making the declaration, Din added, the Pelita Party will also hold a thanksgiving and introduction event which will be held in a different place.

"Thanksgiving and introductions at the Santika Premiere Hotel, Jalan KS Tubun No. 7, Slipi, West Jakarta, at 14.00-15.30 WIB," he said.
