TANGERANG - JS (31) did not move when he was arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Balaraja Police after committing the murder of victim SM (29), a resident of Saga Village, Balaraja District, Tangerang Regency. The victim died beside his wife after getting a sharp weapon stab wound in the chest.

The stabbing incident occurred in Saga Village, Balaraja District, Tangerang Regency on Friday, February 25, yesterday.

Balaraja Police Chief Kompol Herry Fitriyono said that after receiving reports from the public, they immediately pursued the perpetrators of the stabbing. Members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Balaraja Police arrived at the crime scene (TKP) and arrested the perpetrator JS not far from the scene.

The incident began, when JS felt hurt by SM victims who often collected debts from the perpetrators in a way that the perpetrators considered very bad.

"Because of the hurt with the victim, the victim often collects debts," said the police chief to reporters, Sunday, February 27.

Because the perpetrator JS is the uncle of the victim SM. JS is upset because he feels that he has never been respected as his uncle by the victim.

"The perpetrator, JS, who is also the victim's uncle, came to the victim's house, then kicked the door of the victim's house so that it was open and damaged. The perpetrator entered the room of the victim who was sleeping with his wife. The perpetrator stabbed the victim around the victim's chest using a knife brought by the perpetrator," said Commissioner Harry.

Furthermore, continued the Police Chief, from the results of the arrest of the perpetrators, evidence was confiscated in the form of a knife with a knife sheath that was discarded at the scene.

"We also confiscated a shirt and pants belonging to the victim used as well as a set of pants belonging to the perpetrator. The victim was identified and rushed to the hospital for an autopsy by the Banten Police Biddokkes forensic team," he said.

For JS' actions, he was charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with 351 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code for murder.

"The perpetrators face life imprisonment or 15 years in prison," he said.
