Undiksha Chancellor Disapproves Of Postponed Election, Jampel: Quality Must Be Improved

DENPASAR- The proposed postponement of the General Election (Election) schedule in 2024 put forward by several political figures is considered not the right step. Even the Chancellor of the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) Singaraja, Buleleng Regency, Bali, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel M.Pd. calling it inconsistent with the country's constitution.

"The most important reason is that the election has been regulated by a strong state constitution, namely the 1945 Constitution," said Nyoman Jampel in Singaraja, Saturday, February 26 to Antara.

He said the election is a political celebration that takes place periodically, once every five years. The state has also regulated its regulations in the legislation.

Jampel explained that his party was worried that if the election was postponed, it would have an impact on the stability of the country, especially in the political aspect.
