100 Couples In Tangerang City Join The Marriage Isbat Session

TANGERANG - As many as 100 couples in Tangerang City, Banten, participated in the marriage isbat trial held by the Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB). This trial was held in collaboration with the Religious Courts, the Ministry of Religion and the Dukcapil Service.

"We, the Tangerang City Government, are helping Tangerang City residents who are married religiously or in an unregistered marriage to register their marriage according to state law," said Tangerang Mayor Arief R Wismansyah when giving a marriage book symbolically at the Tangerang City Government Center, Antara, Friday, February 25. .

Given the current situation, which is still in the midst of a pandemic, the Integrated Marriage Isbat activity in 2022 is carried out virtually as part of a series of the 29th Anniversary of the City of Tangerang.

This activity is also an effort by the government to solve community social problems related to the legality of marriages that have not been registered in the state. "With the data that has been officially recorded, the population status of both the KTP and KK of the parents will automatically change, assisted by the Dukcapil Service," he said.

Head of the DP3AP2KB Service, Jatmiko said the Integrated Marriage Isbat session was to help people who lack information or lack funds. It is hoped that this activity can help the people of Tangerang City.

Jatmiko continued, after the trial the participants will get a certificate from the court to issue population documents.

"After the trial, a certificate will be issued to issue population documents, including a marriage book. What is unique is that the oldest participant is 65 years old with 10 years of marriage, and the youngest is 20 years old," he said.

One of the participants in the Integrated Marriage Isbat Session, Pipin and Mulyono, who has been married since 2015, said that the application process and requirements to attend this trial were very easy.

"The requirements are very easy, such as photos, ID cards, cover letters from the village and sub-district and so on. Thank God it's now legally registered so it's a relief. I hope my marriage can last until I die," he said.
