Police Arrest Robber Who Killed Elderly In North Sumatra With Chili Grinding Stones

MEDAN - Police arrested the perpetrator of a robbery that killed an elderly victim with the initials A (62) in Teluk Meku Village, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra.

Pangkalan Brandan Police Chief AKP Bram Chandra Sihombing said the identity of the perpetrator had the initials I alias Aseng. The perpetrator was arrested at his hiding place in Tebing Tinggi City.

"The officer was arrested today, less than 24 hours after the victim's body was found," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, February 25.

Bram has not detailed the motive for the perpetrator's crime, because the person concerned is still in the process of being investigated by investigators.

"It's still being investigated," he said.

Previously, the victim with the initials A was found dead in a pathetic condition at his residence in Teluk Meku Village, Langkat Regency on Thursday, February 24 in the morning.

The discovery of the victim's body began with the sound of screams heard by local residents from inside the victim's house. At that time residents saw a suspicious man running from the victim's house, the witness then chased the man, but the man managed to escape.

The witness then returned to the victim's house and found the victim lying on the ground with his body full of injuries. The witness then reported the matter to the police.

From the victim's house, officers found evidence in the form of a chili mill not far from the victim's body which was allegedly used by the perpetrators to kill the victim.
