254 Cirebon Residents Undergo Treatment Due To COVID-19

CIREBON - The Cirebon Regency Health Office, West Java, noted that 254 residents who were exposed to COVID-19 were undergoing treatment at the hospital, and now the total active cases in the area have reached 1,890 people.

The Head of the Immunization and Surveillance Section for Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) of the Cirebon District Health Office, Dendi Hamdi, said that currently the total active cases of COVID-19 reached 1,890 people, of which 254 were hospitalized, while 1,524 others underwent independent isolation. at home, because they only experienced mild symptoms.

According to him, on Wednesday, February 23, there were 180 additional positive confirmed cases of COVID-19, consisting of suspected cases, close contacts, and screening.

"There are 53 suspected cases, 108 people have been screened, and 19 have been in close contact," he said in Cirebon as reported by Antara. On the same day, 68 people were declared to have completed isolation and treatment. And no additional deaths.

"There are no cases of death today. And since the beginning of the pandemic, 910 people have died," he said.

Dendi also appealed to the public to continue to adhere to health protocols, and also to undergo vaccinations, so that COVID-19 cases could immediately decrease.
