If Omicron Slopes, Polda Metro Discourses On Street Race To Be Held In March Or April

JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya plans to hold a Street Race in March. That's even if the spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 is sloping.

"Hopefully if the numbers continue to decline like this, hopefully in March or early April we will be able to start the Street Race," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters, Wednesday, February 23.

However, the timing of the Street Race event is still subject to change. Because, everything refers to the number of the spread of COVID-19.

Regardless of the implementation time, continued Sambodo, his party will continue to make preparations. So, when the time has been determined, all things such as supporting facilities and so on are ready.

"In the meantime, we will postpone it, but while we are waiting, we will continue to carry out the preparations for the track and so on," said Sambodo.

Previously, the Polda Metro Jaya would hold the second volume of the Street Race. This event is a follow-up to the previous event in Ancol, North Jakarta.

The plan is that the second volume of the street race will be held in 3 locations, namely Tangerang, Depok and Bekasi.
