Solo Implements PPKM Level 3, Gibran: Nothing Really Works, Just Reduces Capacity

JAKARTA - The Surakarta City Government will immediately issue a circular (SE) regarding the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) level 3 following the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases that continues to this day.

"We are level three now, (according to) agglomeration. Just wait for the SE tomorrow, okay," said Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka in Solo, Monday, February 21, as reported by Antara.

Regarding the application of restrictions, he said it would be fully regulated in the SE which was published in the near future.

"Just read it tomorrow, 'nothing' is 'very', it's just reducing its capacity," he said.

As for the place of business, he ensured that there were no closing rules. In addition, face-to-face learning activities (PTM) will continue to run.

"We need vigilance, this increase is already very high. God willing, we will go to the top soon, don't worry," he said.

Based on the development of COVID-19 cases in Solo City, until yesterday the number of active cases recorded was 3,085 cases. Of the total, 2,984 people underwent self-isolation and 101 of them underwent treatment at the hospital.

Regarding the spread of COVID-19, the Omicron variant, which was faster than the previous variants, he said it did not only occur in the city of Solo but also in other areas.

"Yes, all cities are spreading fast. It doesn't matter, the important thing is to keep going. Don't stop economic activities," he said.
