SEMARANG - The Semarang Polrestabes team has arrested a fake member of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) who is suspected of extorting the manager of this gas station in the capital city of Central Java.

Head of Criminal Investigation at the Semarang Polrestabes AKBP Donny Lumbantoruan said the suspect, Ramadhani Fauzi, 23, a resident of Bogor Regency, West Java, admitted to being a member of BIN in charge of state subsidies.

In the action, he said, the perpetrators promised to help with the issue of securing the distribution of diesel.

"For the services provided, the suspect asked for some money," he said, quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 19.

From the two people who were asked for money, he said, the perpetrators received Rp. 22 million.

In the action, the perpetrator also equipped himself with a letter of assignment and fake membership certificates, as well as a replica airsoft gun.

According to the perpetrator's confession, Donny continued, various equipment used as a means to launch the action was purchased online.

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 378 of the Criminal Code concerning fraud.
