Showing Off On Instagram Formula E Circuit Construction, Ahmad Sahroni: April Or May Ready For Trial

JAKARTA - The chairman of the Formula E Organizing Committee, Ahmad Sahroni, exhibited a video of the Formula E circuit construction process which had started some time ago.

Through his Instagram account, the Secretary General of the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) shows the shape of the Formula E track which is still a stretch of land from the air.

Currently, the construction of the circuit is in the ground-hardening stage before paving. A number of heavy equipment and materials were seen at the construction site in the East Ancol area.

Sahroni revealed that the construction of the circuit is targeted to be completed in three months. So, this electric car racing track can be tested before the implementation of Formula E on June 4.

"The development process is ongoing. God willing, on time according to the April or early May target, it is ready for trials," said Sahroni in the ahmadsahroni88 Instagram account, Friday, February 18.

This member of the House of Representatives claimed that the construction process carried out by PT Jaya Jontruksi Manggala Pratama was carried out optimally.

"The circuit work is maximized, day and night work. Please pray for everything to run smoothly and on time," he continued.

Previously, Vice Managing Director of Formula E Jakpro, Gunung Kartiko revealed that the asphalt construction on the Formula E track was different from the more complicated asphalt of the MotoGP title. Formula E asphalt material, said Gunung, is the same as road asphalt.

"Formula E is typical for road racing. Because this is a city track, so actually the asphalt is asphalt on the road. For Mandalika (MotoGP) it uses special specifications. It's different from Formula E," said Gunung on Wednesday, February 16.

The shape of the Formula E track is said to be similar to a lumping horse. Then, the location of the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC) has 18 bends, 600 meters of straight track, clockwise direction, 2.4 kilometers of track length, and 16 meters of track width.
