Please Remember, Odd-Even At Five Bandung Toll Gates Still Valid

JAKARTA - Polrestabes Bandung, West Java, has confirmed that the odd-even vehicle blocking scheme will still be implemented at five toll gates in Bandung City during the level 3 restriction on community activities (PPKM).

Bandung Police Chief Kombes Pol Aswin Sipayung said the scheme would still be applied because it is a regional policy that has been stated in the Bandung Mayor Regulation.

"We will continue to carry out together with the TNI and the Bandung City Government to reduce vehicles to Bandung City so that Omicron does not increase again," Aswin said in Bandung, Friday, February 18, quoted from Antara.

According to Aswin, the odd-even events that had been carried out in the previous week had quite an impact on the decline in vehicle mobility in the city of Bandung.

"Being able to suppress the volume of vehicles, so not as much as before there were odd-even," he said.

Aswin said a number of partitions would continue to be carried out in the city of Bandung.

"In terms of increasing the Omicron, it is different, the most important thing is that the volume of the vehicle is suppressed first so that there are no crowds," he said.

He said that at the weekend the police continued to enforce road closures at three points of the highway that are often crowded with people.

The five odd-even toll gates are Pasteur, Pasirkoja, Kopo, Muhammad Toha, and Buahbatu toll gates.

For Friday, odd-even applies from 14.00 WIB to 20.00 WIB. As for Saturday and Sunday, odd-even applies from 07.00 WIB to 20.00 WIB.
