BADUNG - Singapore Airlines (SIA) with flight number SQ 938 landed at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali.

After the plane lands, all passengers follow the registration process, check body temperature, health documents and carry out PCR tests, as well as immigration checks before leaving the airport.

The arrival of the passengers was immediately reviewed by the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, at the international arrivals terminal. Koster said the Singapore Airlines plane was carrying 156 passengers. A total of 47 of them are Indonesian citizens (WNI) and the rest are foreign citizens (WNA) as many as 109 people.

"Singapore Airlines which arrived today carried 156 passengers. Of these 156 passengers, 47 passengers were Indonesian citizens, the rest were foreign nationals," said Koster during a press conference, Wednesday, February 16.

"I witnessed the process firsthand. Starting from arrival, examination and PCR taking. Then checking my passport documents saw that the circulation was running smoothly and in accordance with health protocols. I saw that there were no delays at these service points," said Koster .

Koster called the large number of passengers a 'test' for the health protocol process at Ngurah Rai Airport. The arriving passengers will first undergo a 3-day quarantine at a number of hotels.

"Yes (quarantine) for three days, which applies today and the PCR results are received at the hotel so that tourists are comfortable, the important thing is that the transportation has implemented strict health protocols," said Koster.

Prior to Singapore Airlines, on 3 February, Garuda Indonesia also flew direct from Narita, Japan to Bali. This airline carries 12 passengers.

"We hope that there will be more flights to Bali in the future while maintaining health protocols," said Koster.
