Preventing COVID-19 Transmission, Disdikpora Bans All Schools In Kudus From Holding Field Trips

KUDUS - The Youth Education and Sports Office of Kudus Regency, Central Java, has banned all schools in the local area from holding field trips following an increase in the findings of COVID-19 cases in various regions.

"In this regard, we have issued a circular to all schools in Kudus that we do not allow field trips," said Head of the Kudus Education and Youth Education Office, Harjuna Widada, in Kudus, Antara, Thursday, February 10.

He admitted that there had been no findings from the community in the school environment that were exposed to COVID-19 based on the results of the antigen rapid test sampling. To protect themselves and others, he invites all students and teachers to be disciplined in implementing health protocols.

The Head of the Kudus District Health Office, Andini Aridewi, admitted that currently there had been an increase in confirmed positive cases of COVID-19. Even on February 9, 2022, there were an additional 40 cases, bringing the total to 86 cases.

Meanwhile, according to the latest data uploaded on the https://corona.kuduskab.go.id/ page, as of Thursday at 17.00 WIB, it increased to 101 positive cases of COVID-19, as many as 13 people of whom were hospitalized.

He noted that the findings of the case contained clusters of corona transmission from the family environment and some after traveling out of town.

For this reason, the public is asked not to travel outside the city when it is not really urgent while still implementing strict health protocols.
