Even Though There Are 15 People Added Today, The Trend Of COVID-19 Patients Being Treated At The Athlete's House Is Decreasing

JAKARTA - The number of patients at the COVID-19 Special Emergency Hospital (RSDC) Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, Jakarta, increased by 15 people as of Thursday, February 10.

Head of Information for the Joint Regional Defense Command (Kogabwilhan) I Marine Colonel Aris Mudian said that 4,810 confirmed positive inpatients (COVID-19) at Towers 4, 5, 6 and 7 were 4,810 people.

"Meanwhile, the original number (Wednesday, February 9) was 4,795. Inpatients have increased by 15," said Aris conveying the development of the situation at the Kemayoran Athlete Hospital RSDC, Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, February 10.

From March 23, 2020 to February 10, 2022, the number of patients referred to the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital was 147,876 people. Although there have been additional patients in the last 24 hours, the number of patients treated at the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran Hospital shows a downward trend after last week's figure exceeded 5,000 people.

Thus, the bed occupancy rate (BOR) at the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran RSDC also decreased, which last week exceeded 60 percent, now it is below 60 percent, considering that the four RSDC towers have a total capacity of 8,173 beds.

The safe limit for BOR set by the World Health Organization (WHO) is 60 percent.

In his written broadcast, the Head of Information for Kogabwilhan I continued to convey the development of the situation at the Galang Island Special Hospital for Infection (RSKI), Batam, Riau Islands. The number of inpatients at the Galang Island Hospital as of Thursday was 263 people.

"There are 263 inpatients, of which 157 are men and 106 are women. The 263 patients were all confirmed positive for Covid-19," said Aris as quoted from his written statement.

The head of information for Kogabwilhan I TNI noted that in the last 24 hours hospitalized patients at the Galang Island Hospital had added 36 people.

"As of February 10, 2022, there were 263 inpatients, originally (one day earlier) 227 people," he said. From 12 April 2020 to 10 February 2022, Galang Island Hospital received a total of 18,740 patients.
