Shot By Police, Child Rape Perpetrator In Nagan Raya Arrested

NAGAN RAYA - Members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Nagan Raya Police, the Aceh Police arrested MJ (26), a resident of a village in Nagan Raya Regency, for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl.

"We have arrested the perpetrator after this case was reported by the victim's parents," said Head of Criminal Investigation at the Nagan Raya Aceh Police, Commissioner Adjutant Machfud, in Suka Makmur, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, February 9.

According to him, MJ was arrested by the police for allegedly committing a crime of sexual harassment and raping a five-year-old girl.

The perpetrator was arrested at his residence in a village in Beutong District, Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh on Wednesday afternoon.

But when he was about to be taken to the Nagan Raya Police Headquarters, said Commissioner Adjutant Machfud, the perpetrator MJ asked to stop on the side of the road to urinate.

After the police stopped and allowed MJ to urinate, the perpetrator then tried to run away.

Police officers who know the perpetrators will run away, then try to ask MJ not to run away.

However, this effort was ignored by the perpetrators, so the police were then forced to shot the alleged perpetrator so that MJ was again arrested.

Before being shot in the leg, said Commissioner Adjutant Machfud, the alleged perpetrator MJ had tried to fight back and fled to the back of the perpetrator's house, then a chase took place between the perpetrator and the officers so that he was arrested.

"We have taken the perpetrators to the hospital, currently they are still being examined by officers," said Commissioner Adjutant Machfud.
