The Attorney General's Office has raised the status of the alleged corruption case of PT Garuda Indonesia to the general investigation stage on Wednesday (19/1).

On Friday (4/2), Jampidsus investigators from the Attorney General's Office questioned Peter Gontha, a former commissioner of Garuda.

On Thursday (3/2) three former commissioners of Garuda in 2012 and 2013. All three were investigated related to the aircraft procurement mechanism.

Previously, Wednesday (26/1), the Attorney General's Office questioned the Vice President (VP) of the CEO Office of PT Garuda Indonesia with the initials RK. He was examined related to the mechanism of planning, procurement, and payment of air nurses.

Besides RK, the Attorney General's Office also examined three other witnesses, namely Capt. HR as a member of the Procurement Team of PT Citilink Indonesia, PNH as Director of PT Garuda Indonesia, and SN as Vice President (VP) Airworthiness Management of PT Garuda Indonesia.

Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin said that the investigation would progress, not only about the ATR 72-600, but also related to the procurement of Bombardier, Airbus, Boeing and Rolls Royce.
