LAMPUNG - Nine traders at the Pasar Bambu Kuning Trade Center (BTC), Bandarlampung City reacted to COVID-19 when a swab (antigen) swab test was carried out in the context of expanding tracing.

"Earlier, there were about 35 traders who we tested for antigen, and 9 of them were reactive," said Mayor of Bandarlampung, Eva Dwiana in Bandarlampung, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, February 8.

Eva said that the nine people who were confirmed to be reactive had been recorded and they were advised to return to their respective homes to self-isolate (isoman), because their condition had mild symptoms.

"We have also ordered the health centers to monitor their health," he said again.

Eva asked for cooperation from the community, especially to traders, so that the procedure is tightened and stay alert and don't underestimate Omicron, because it spreads very quickly.

According to him, the search carried out at the market is an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, because they often go out of town to buy goods.

"These business actors must take care of themselves and be cooperative. They must be tested because they meet a lot of people, so positive or negative COVID-19 is found out," he said again.

He also emphasized that if later in the search results at the Bambukuning Market it was found that many reactive traders were found, the local municipal government would temporarily close the location.

"We haven't closed it yet, but we have to proceed. We will continue the search, if more reactive species are found, it will be closed. So, I ask for Prokes help," he also said.

Previously, the Bandarlampung City Government had carried out random antigen swabs in a number of modern markets and other crowded centers, such as Simpur Center, Chandra Department Store and Teluk Betung.
