Yusril Ihza Mahendra's Son Advances In The East Belitung Pilkada

JAKARTA - The son of the General Chairman of the DPP Bulan Bintang Party (PBB), Yusril Ihza Mahendra, namely Yuri Kemal Fadlullah, is running as a candidate for the East Belitung Pilkada.

"Yuri took Nurdiansyah as her partner and has registered with the KPU," said the head of the winning team for the Yuri Kemal Fadlullah-Nurdiansyah pair, Fezzi Uktolseja, as reported by Antara, Sunday, September 6.

He explained that the pair with the slogan KAYA was promoted by a number of coalition political parties, namely the United Nations Party, PDI Perjuangan, NasDem Party, Democrat Party, Hanura Party, PAN, and Perindo.

"We are supported by seven political parties that have won seats in the East Belitung DPRD, including a large coalition to win the political battle in the 2020 Pilkada," he said.

Meanwhile, the head of the East Belitung KPU, Rizal, stated that the nomination documents for this pair were declared complete and fulfilled the requirements.

"We have examined the nomination files registered by the supporting political parties, in principle they have met the requirements," he said.

Furthermore, he said, the candidate's required documents will be verified to be determined as a participant in the 2020 Pilkada.

"If the candidate requirements are complete, we will formally determine the pair to be a participant in the 9 December 2020 Pilkada in East Belitung Regency," he said.
