Rommahurmuziy Returns To The Political Stage After Freeing From The KPK, PPP: Having Undergoed Legal Processes Does Not Remove Quality

JAKARTA - The former chairman of the PPP who was involved in a bribery case at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Romahurmuziy attended the Regional Working Conference (Muskerwil) of the PPP Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY).

Related to this, the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the United Development Party (PPP) also spoke up.

PPP DPP chairman Achmad Baidowi said Rommahurmuziy attended because he was invited by the local Muskerwil administrator. He said that Rommy's presence was limited to being a source of discussion.

Awiek, as he is known, admitted that he did not care about the legal issues that had ensnared Rommy. According to him, until now Rommy remains a PPP cadre, so there is no problem attending party events.

"People who have gone through legal processes have not hindered or removed their qualities," Awiek told reporters, Friday, February 4.

Even so, the secretary of the PPP faction in the DPR said that Rommy was not included in the PPP DPP management structure. However, he considered it reasonable if Rommy returned to the political stage.

"Because the court has not revoked his political rights, and now Mas Rommy is an ordinary citizen," said Awiek.

It is known, Romahurmuziy alias Rommy was seen at the DPW PPP Regional Regional Meeting of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). The former PPP chairman was seen sitting in front of the audience.

The Muskerwil event was held in Bantul on Monday, January 31. The event was also attended by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan.
