JAKARTA - Heavy rains have flushed Jakarta since New Year's Eve, causing the capital city to be surrounded by floods. Several modes of transportation and roads were paralyzed by the flood.

Floods also inundated areas outside the airport which made it difficult for passengers to access Halim Airport. As a result, a number of flight schedules had to be canceled.

Toll Road Flooded

To ensure that road conditions remain safe for road users, Jasa Marga Regional Jabodetabek officers have now alerted water pumps in puddle locations to accelerate suctioning of puddles. Road users who are on this route are expected to be careful when crossing.
