KPK Examined Regarding Formula E, Deputy Chair Of Commission E Of DKI DPRD: The Budgeting Process Is Strange

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission E of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) faction, Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo, said there was something strange about the budgeting process for the implementation of Formula E.

He conveyed this after being questioned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding the investigation into alleged corruption in the implementation of the international racing event.

Initially, Anggara revealed that in the process of requesting information, there were a number of things that were asked by KPK investigators. One of them is related to the flow of funds from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to the FEO.

"One of the points is like that. Yes, about that," he told reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, February 3.

However, he did not elaborate on what information was submitted to the KPK investigators who handled the alleged corruption. He only mentioned that there was something strange in the Formula E budgeting process.

"What we are dealing with is the Youth and Sports Agency, but the one who has a cooperation contract is Jakpro and FEO," said Anggara.

"So that's the way the budgeting process is, it's strange, yes, because the budget authority is the Youth and Sports Office, but the ones with contracts are Jakpro and FEO," he added.

Previously reported, the KPK admitted that it was investigating and had examined several parties related to allegations of corruption related to the implementation of the Formula E racing event.

In the midst of this investigation process, the KPK has also received several documents from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

The document contains the approval process to the preparations needed by the KPK to obtain detailed and complete information in investigating allegations of corruption in the planned international event. The handover is intended to support the monitoring of corruption prevention (MCP) efforts to the KPK leadership.
