Complete The Examination, Edy Mulyadi Immediately Apologized

JAKARTA - The reported case of alleged hate speech regarding Kalimantan where the genie dumped his child, Edy Mulyadi, has complied with the summons for questioning. Where, he will be asked to testify as a witness.

According to VOI monitoring, Edy Mulyadi arrived at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit at 09.45 WIB. He was accompanied by several of his lawyers.

Before undergoing the examination, Edy had time to deliver a statement. He apologized to all the people of Kalimantan.

"I apologize again, I don't want to say it was an expression or not, I again apologize profusely," said Edy to reporters at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Monday, January 31.

Then, Edy also emphasized that despite this case, he still refused to move the new capital city from Jakarta to Kalimantan. The reason, the time is considered not right.

"Secondly, I still refuse IKN, for what? Because there are many studies, the important thing is not on time," said Edy.

Previously, Edy Mulyadi was not present at the summons for examination on Friday, January 28. Edy Mulyadi is being investigated for alleged hate speech.

Edy Mulyadi is suspected of insulting all Kalimantan residents because of his statement about the 'place for the genie to dump children'.

However, after being crowded, the secretary general of the National Movement to Guard Fatwa (GNPF) Ulama also straightened the context of the sentence. According to him, the term is commonly used by residents of Jakarta to describe a remote location.
