JAKARTA - Edy Mulyadi will be questioned by Bareskrim investigators at the National Police Headquarters on Friday, January 28 tomorrow. This afternoon, interfaith youths in East Kalimantan urged the police to immediately arrest Edy.

This was conveyed by Daniel Sihotang, one of the interfaith youths who came to the East Kalimantan Regional Police to fulfill a police summons regarding his reporting. Previously, Daniel Sihotang had made a complaint letter to the Samarinda Police Chief on January 23, 2022.

"I came to fulfill the call from the East Kalimantan Police regarding the Edy Mulyadi complaint report that we made a few days ago at the Samarinda Police," said Daniel A Sihotang, Thursday, January 27.

There he was examined along with several witnesses in the case of Edy Mulyadi, who was suspected of committing a crime against false news and hate speech for his statement calling the location of the new nation's capital a "place for djinn to dispose of children" "genderuwo, kuntilanak". This is considered an insult to the people of Kalimantan.

"I was asked for some information as reinforcement in the investigation process on our report. There was a team of investigators from the National Police Headquarters also present, hopefully this will shed light on the seriousness of the Police to immediately arrest Edy Mulyadi," asked Daniel.

"In the investigation process, I conveyed to the investigators to immediately arrest and process Edy Mulyadi because the evidence of reports and complaints from various elements of society is already quite a lot," he continued.

Daniel was accompanied by East Kalimantan Interfaith youth from GP Ansor, Muhammadiyah Youth, GAMKI, Catholic Youth, Hindu Youth at the East Kalimantan Provincial Police. The East Kalimantan Interfaith Youth entrusted all this legal process to run as quickly as possible to the police.

"We hope that the investigation of this case will continue to be explored and the right decision legally taken, we believe the East Kalimantan Police and the National Police Headquarters are able to resolve this issue," he concluded.
