Celebrating 49th Anniversary, PDIP Holds Bull Ride And Night Run In Jakarta Until Mandalika

JAKARTA - PDI Perjuangan plans to hold a Bull Ride and Night Run in March. This activity was carried out to enliven the PDIP Anniversary (HUT) to campaign for the importance of sports as well as carry out social actions.

"This agenda is a thanksgiving for 49 years of PDI-P's journey to help build the nation and state. At the same time, it supports the government in building the nation's character and the health of the human body and soul in Indonesia, as well as fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. Especially now that we are faced with the Omicron variant," said the Deputy Chair of the Committee. PDIP Anniversary Pulung Agustanto told reporters at the PDIP DPP Office, Jalan Diponegoro, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday, January 27.

"This agenda is also a sportainment event to be a place to channel hobbies for cycling and running as well as a medium for socializing between communities," he added.

Pulung then detailed that the bicycle event would be divided into three groups, the first 25 km, the second 50 km, and the third 100 km. This activity is planned to be held at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Jakarta with a registration fee of Rp. 100,000 which will be donated to buy 1,000 bicycles for teachers and 1,000 shoes for students in disadvantaged areas.

This gift is a form of concern for the party bearing the bull symbol for the world of education, especially teachers and students in disadvantaged areas. Furthermore, Pulung said that the Banteng Ride and Night Run 2022 agenda will be held in six cities, namely GBK in Jakarta, Borobudur in DIY, Lake Toba in North Sumatra, Kupang and Labuan Bajo in NTT and Mandalika in NTB.

The purpose of PDIP to include this place is to support Indonesia's five priority tourist destinations launched by the Government.

"The first activity will be held in the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area. However, due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, the committee chose to postpone the Banteng Ride and Night Run 2022 event from previously being held on January 30, 2022 and then postponed to March 6, 2022. participants understand this delay," he said.

Regarding the postponement, the Secretary General of PDIP also asked the participants not to be disappointed. Moreover, this was done because of following the appeal of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to reduce activities that cause crowds in the midst of the spread of the Omicron variant.

"We know that the government of President Jokowi has good management regarding the presence of the Omicron variant. Then we saw in DKI, the increase was extraordinary, exceeding exponential so in that context we were all vigilant," said Hasto on the same occasion.

Even so, Hasto explained that the executive committee under the Deputy of the PDIP Anniversary Committee Pulung Agustanto was still preparing the details and technical details of the event. So, when the Covid-19 case is already sloping, the event can be carried out immediately.

"Approximately two weeks, the preparations are ready," concluded Hasto.
