JAKARTA - The bed occupancy ratio (BOR) for COVID-19 patients in Jakarta continues to increase. This is in line with the current trend of increasing cases of COVID-19 and the Omicron variant.

Although the BOR number continues to rise, the Head of Disease Prevention and Control, DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office, Dwi Oktavia, said that his party can still control the treatment of Coronavirus patients.

"Although bed occupancy has increased, this figure is considered to be well managed in health care facilities. Currently, the conditions that require treatment are relatively under control", said Dwi when contacted, Thursday, January 27.

However, if the BOR of COVID-19 patients continues to increase, Dwi said that her party will convert treatment by increasing the number of beds specifically for COVID-19 treatment.

"If it is necessary to increase the number of beds for COVID-19, then we will increase of course by making adjustments to the hospital. Is the arrangement of a hospital area full of COVID-19 with a mixed one, even though the treatment area is different. So, we see from all aspects", explained Dwi.
