PAPUA - The Armed Civilian Group (KSB) conducted a shootout by attacking the TNI post in Bukit Tepuk, Jenggernok Village, Gome District, Puncak Regency, Thursday, January 27 this morning. Three soldiers died in the incident.
Shooting contact with KSB occurred until 10:00 WIT. The Commander of Military Resort Command (Danrem) 173/PVB Brigadier General Taufan Gestoro stated that the bodies of three soldiers who died in Gome, Puncak Regency, Papua had been evacuated and arrived in Timika.
"The three bodies have indeed been evacuated using a Caracal helicopter belonging to the Indonesian Air Force and have arrived in Timika", said Brigadier General Taufan Gestoro as quoted by Antara in Papua, Thursday, January 27.
