Dozens Of Houses In East Aceh Were Damaged By Floods, Some Were Swept Away

ACEH - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of East Aceh, Aceh Province, noted that dozens of houses in the district were damaged by the floods that hit two weeks ago.

"Temporary data show that 72 houses were damaged and washed away by the floods that occurred two weeks ago. In addition, there were also damaged by landslides", said East Aceh BPBD Chief Executive, Ashadi, in East Aceh, as reported by Antara on Wednesday, January 26.

Ashadi said dozens of damaged houses were spread out in Bireum Bayeun District, including 60 units in Bayeun Village, one unit in Alue Nyamuk Village, and six units in Alue Gadeng Sa Village.

Then, in Indra Makmur District there are two houses, in Banda Alam District there are two housing units, and in Idi Rayeuk District one unit, Ashadi said.

"The category of damaged damage is on average lightly damaged. There is also moderate damage and even heavy damage. The loss is estimated at IDR 400 million", said Ashadi.

Apart from houses, said Ashadi, the flood also damaged 30 bridges in seven sub-districts in East Aceh Regency. The bridge is a connecting road between villages.

"Some of the damage to the bridge has broken completely. However, we are continuing to record the damage to both the bridge and houses and other public facilities", said Ashadi.
