JAKARTA - Advocate Azam Khan gave a clarification regarding the statement 'Only Monkeys' moved to Kalimantan which he said during an event discussing the New State Capital (IKN) some time ago.

In the video, Azam Khan mentions, the meaning of 'only monkeys' is intended for people who move to Kalimantan, not the Kalimantan people themselves. Not only Azam Khan, Edy Mulyadi also provided clarification as well as an apology to residents for the statement that Kalimantan was a place for genies to throw children.

Abu Janda said these two must have panicked and used various means to escape. Unfortunately it's useless, the people of Kalimantan have been hurt by this statement.

"I'm still panicking but it's useless... because the people of Kalimantan have been injured. Now all that's left is regret, nervousness, cold sweats, stomach acid rises, uwek uwek & can't sleep," wrote Abu Janda on Wednesday, January 26.

Abu Janda said this case had been advanced to the investigation stage by the National Police Headquarters. He predicts that Edy could be charged with causing trouble.

"The case has been escalated to investigation, the day after tomorrow, Edy will be summoned, at least he can be subject to an article for making trouble and imprisoned for 10 years," said Abu Janda.

The National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit previously stated that the status of the alleged hate speech case with reported Edy Mulyadi was upgraded from investigation to investigation. In the near future, a suspect will be named in this case.
