Police Guard The Evacuation Of 17 Fire Victims At Karaoke Doubel0 Sorong, Papua To The Hospital

The process of evacuating victims trapped in the karaoke Doubel0 which was set on fire by the masses of the dispute between residents in the city of Sorong (ANTARA)

SORONG - The Sorong City Police Resort evacuated 17 bodies trapped in the Doubel0 karaoke on Jalan Sungai Maruni, Sorong City, to the morgue of the Sele be Solu Hospital, Tuesday, January 25.

The bodies of 17 victims whose identities have not been identified were evacuated using three hearses. The process of evacuating the victims was also escorted by a patrol car from the Sorong City Police and a patrol car from the East Sorong Police from the scene.

The location of the Double0 karaoke incident was immediately given a police line. Dozens of Sorong City Police officers were seen on guard at the karaoke location.

The Head of Ops of the Sorong City Police, Kompol Edward Martua Pandjaitan, who was met at the scene, said that his party had evacuated the victims who were trapped in the Double Karaoke due to a dispute between two groups of residents.

Based on the results of the TKP, the team of doctors and the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sorong City Police and the East Sorong Police, it was reported that 17 bodies were found charred.

It was said that the identity of the 17 victims was not known because they were already charred. The body has been taken to the Sele be Solu Hospital for further identification.

"We are also asking for information and seeking information from local people who feel that they have lost their families at the scene to report to assist the process of identifying the bodies," he explained.
