PPKM Java-Bali Extended, Jabodetabek Remains Level 2, Many Regions Dropped Level 1

JAKARTA - Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian issued Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 05 of 2022 concerning PPKM Level 3, Level 2, and Level 1 COVID-19 in the Java and Bali Regions.

During the implementation of PPKM from January 25 to 31, 2022, the Jabodetabek agglomeration area will still have PPKM Level 2 status, namely DKI Jakarta, Tangerang City, Tangerang Regency, South Tangerang City, Bogor City, Depok City, Bekasi Regency, Bekasi City and Bogor Regency.

In this week's Java-Bali PPKM arrangement, there was an increase in the number of regencies/cities at Level 1 from 47 regions to 52 regions.

Then, districts/cities that implemented Level 2 decreased from 80 regions to 75 regions. Then, districts/cities that apply Level 3 remain in 1 area.

The indicators used in conducting regional assessments are still the same as the previous PPKM settings, namely using indicators for adjusting public health efforts and social restrictions in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic set by the Minister of Health and added with indicators of total achievement of dose 1 vaccination and vaccination dose 1 for the elderly from the target vaccination.

The PPKM arrangement this week has not changed as before, such as Face-to-face Learning (PTM) which is guided by the 4 Ministerial Decree concerning the implementation of learning guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Then, the implementation of work from office (WFO) is a maximum of 25 percent for non-essential employees who have been vaccinated in Level 3 areas, 50 percent for Level 2, and 75 percent for Level 1.

For essential sectors, the maximum WFO staff is 50 percent at Level 3, 75 percent for Level 2, and 100 percent for Level 1; and 100 percent capacity for essential sectors at Level 3 to Level 1 and must optimize the PeduliLindung application.

For the retail sector, supermarkets can operate until 21.00 local time with a maximum capacity of 50 percent for Level 3, Level 2 a maximum of 75 percent, and Level 1 with a capacity of 100 percent.

The people's market at Level 3 can operate until 17.00 with a capacity of 50 percent, while at Level 2 it can operate until 18:00 with a maximum capacity of 75 percent, for Level 1 it can operate a maximum of 100 percent and must optimize the PeduliLindung application.

Malls and shopping centers on Levels 3 and 2 can operate until 21.00 local time with a maximum capacity of 50 percent, while Level 1 can operate until 22:00 with a maximum capacity of 100 percent.

For cinemas at Level 3, the maximum audience is 50 percent, while at levels 2 and 1 the maximum capacity is 70 percent, while still optimizing the PeduliLindung application in malls and cinemas.

Regarding sports events, PPKM Java-Bali also regulates, among others, the Football League 1 and 2 Competitions which are only in the district/city area with the criteria of Level 3, Level 2, and Level 1. Then the Indonesian Professional Futsal League competition can be held in East Jakarta. , the city of Semarang, the city of Yogyakarta, and the city of Surabaya on January 8 to August 28, 2022; and the Developmental Basketball League (DBL) Competition can be held in Solo from 27 January to 5 February 2022.
