JAKARTA - The National Police admits that there is a discourse that the color change and the installation of chips on vehicle number plates will be carried out in stages. The plan is that it will be implemented from 2022 to 2023.

The process of changing the color and installing the chip on the number plate will also be prioritized for people who renew their motorized vehicle certificates.

"The use of these number plates will be gradual, prioritizing license plates with an extension of 5 years for new vehicles," said Ramadhan.
