COVID 19 Update As Of January 22: New Cases 3,205, Active Cases 16,692

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID 19 as of today. A total of 281,161 specimens were examined with the results of 3,205 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID 19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,283,453 and active cases have increased by 3,205 to 16,692," said Health Ministry data, Saturday, January 22.

Today's recovered cases increased by 627 cases, bringing the total to 4,122,555 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 50 people and a total of 144,206 people.

The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 1,825 cases and a total of 877,568 cases. Followed by West Java with 641 new cases with a total of 711,854 cases. Banten has 451 new cases and a total of 134,993 cases. Then, East Java with 79 new cases and a total of 400,728 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 457 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an increase of 45 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 34 recovered cases, and Bali with an additional 24 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 69,100,898.

"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 1 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID 19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 7,612 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID 19.

To date, 180,714,550 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 123,782,386 people have received the second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the third dose of vaccination was 1,362=405. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
