Tens Of Billions Of Treasures From Maruli Simanjuntak's Kostrad Commander, Owns 9 Properties In South Jakarta To Buleleng

Maj. Gen. Maruli Simanjuntak, who currently serves as Commander of the Army Strategic Reserve Command (Pangkostrad), has assets worth IDR 51.6 billion.

JAKARTA - TNI Major General Maruli Simanjuntak, who currently serves as Commander of the Army Strategic Reserve Command (Pangkostrad), has assets worth Rp. 51.6 billion.

Based on the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) which was reported on March 25, 2021, Maruli was recorded to have a wealth of Rp. 51,774,737,058 and a debt of Rp. 120 million.

In detail, Maruli owns 9 land and building assets spread across Bandung, South Jakarta, Bogor, Badung, to Buleleng with a total asset value of Rp. 16,763,192,000.

Not only that, Maruli is also noted to have a wealth of vehicles consisting of a 2010 Piaggio LXV-125IE motorbike, a 2014 Kawasaki LX 150E CKD motorbike, and a 1995 BMW K-75 SOLO motorbike.

Next, Maruli recorded ownership of assets in the form of other movable assets worth IDR 2,128,483,125, securities with a value of IDR 3,383,991,600, cash and cash equivalents of IDR 17,346,120,333, and other assets of IDR 12 billion.

As is known, TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa officially appointed Major General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak as Pangkostrad as of January 21, 2022. Maruli replaces Lt. Gen. Dudung Abdurrachman who currently serves as Army Chief of Staff (KSAD).

Maruli's appointment as Pangkostrad was determined through the Decree of the Position of 328 TNI High Officers through Decree number 66/I/2022 dated January 21, 2022 concerning Dismissal from and Appointments in Position within the TNI.

Maruli is the son-in-law of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. He is also a former Commander of the Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres) in 2018-2020. Finally, Maruli served as Commander of the IX/Udayana Regional Military Command (Pangdam) from 2020 to 2022.
