BMKG Weather Forecast: Heavy Rain In Most Of Indonesia

JAKARTA - Today's weather forecast from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that a large number of regions in Indonesia will experience heavy rain which can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds.

Based on information compiled by Antara from the official BMKG website in Jakarta, Friday, the weather is predicted to occur in West Sumatra, Riau, Bengkulu, Jambi, South Sumatra, Lampung, Banten, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, and East Java.

Similar weather also has the potential to hit West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, Maluku, West Papua and Papua.

Meanwhile, areas that have the potential for rain that can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds are DKI Jakarta and South Kalimantan. Meanwhile, West Sulawesi is forecasted to experience strong winds.

The BMKG also warns of high waves of 2.5-4 meters in the North Natuna Sea, the East Java Sea, the South and North Makassar Straits, the East Sulawesi Sea, and the Banda Sea.
