DPRD Asks To Tighten The Entry And Exit Requirements For Jakarta After The Long Weekend Cluster Appears

JAKARTA - COVID-19 cases in DKI Jakarta continue to increase. In the last 2 days, the additional new cases reached 1,114 and 1,029, respectively.

The cause is the transmission of the virus that occurred when the people of Jakarta left their homes to enjoy a long holiday on August 16-22.

On that basis, Deputy Chairperson of DKI DPRD Zita Anjani asked the Governor of DKI to tighten the supervision of people leaving and entering Jakarta using the Corona Likelihood Matric (CLM) application.

"Because the number of new cases rose right in the long weekend, the DKI Provincial Government must tighten CLM," said Zita when contacted, Monday, August 31.

"Right now CLM is still in effect, it's just that the implementation (supervision) in the field is very lacking," he continued.

CLM has been in effect since the DKI Provincial Government revoked the entry and exit permit (SIKM) on 14 July. CLM is an application-based COVID-19 symptom identification system called JAKI that can be downloaded on each cellphone.

The CLM system processes the answers and information provided to display results, whether the user is indicated by COVID-19 or not.

In the application, there are several self-assessment questions that must be answered by residents who wish to travel. Then, the system will score residents' answers to indicate whether they are safe in traveling.

Zita said, the travel requirements using CLM must be revived. "Living with the government must be flexible, must be able to open and close (rules) according to the graph of COVID-19 cases," said Zita.

This PAN politician thought, the longer the public's awareness of the implementation of health protocols had decreased. Likewise with supervision from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government which is often lax.

"Public awareness is low, and the Provincial Government is less educating. We have already passed several PSBB periods. If there is no better improvement, it means that the implementation of the policy has not been maximal," he said.

The DKI Provincial Government issued an analysis of data on new cases of COVID-19 which had penetrated 1,114 on August 30. Based on the latest data from the DKI Health Office, 70 percent of positive cases today were cases taken by specimens on August 24 and 25, 2020.

Head of Disease Prevention and Control Division at the PDKI Health Office Dwi Oktavia explained, if counted backwards, the most frequent incubation period is 6 days. Patients underwent a PCR examination 1-2 days later, then the highest transmission period occurred on 16-17 August 2020.

"The number of positive cases reached 1,114 people. Of these, 385 cases are the accumulated data from 7 days previously recently reported, most of whom were exposed to COVID-19 during the long weekend in the period 16-22 August 2020. , "said Dwi.
