Police Arrest Man In Deli Serdang Who Stole His Girlfriend's Gold Jewelry

MEDAN - The Patumbak Police Criminal Investigation Team, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, arrested a man with the initials CFS. He was arrested for stealing his girlfriend's gold jewelry.

The Head of the Patumbak Police, Kompol Faidir Chan, through the Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Ridwan, said that CFS was arrested for stealing gold jewelry belonging to his girlfriend Desi Br Simbolon who went missing on Friday, December 31, 2021.

"Yes, that's right, now the suspect and evidence in the form of a gold bracelet belonging to the victim as well as a shirt and trousers that the suspect bought from the stolen goods have been brought (to the police station, ed) for investigation," said AKP Ridwan, Tuesday, January 18.

During the interrogation, the suspect confessed his actions to the police. The stolen goods are stored in the perpetrator's boarding house.

"The suspect also explained that some of the gold items had been pawned to someone with the initials P," he continued.

Hearing the suspect's confession, the police went to P's residence. However, the house was empty when the police visited.

For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft.
