There Is No Cinema That Has Submitted An Application For Opening To The DKI Provincial Government

JAKARTA - Head of the Tourism Industry Division of the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, Bambang Ismadi, said that until now no cinema manager has applied for an opening permit.

Thus, there is no certainty regarding when the film player will operate. Although the government has permitted it, the opening schedule is determined by the theater management.

"No cinema management has yet submitted a request for an opening. I predict that the application will be submitted at the earliest on Wednesday because today they (management) have only coordinated their ranks by compiling a draft application," said Bambang when contacted, Monday, August 31.

Cinema management or management, said Bambang, usually will also consult with colleagues regarding the cinema opening schedule.

Bambang continued, if the draft application for opening cinema operations has been submitted, DKI Disparekraf will study all health protocols that will be applied in the cinema.

"The Disparekraf team will study the proposal and invite those who submit the application, after 3 days of receipt of the proposal, to present the proposed health protocol," he said.

Furthermore, if the implementation of the protocol is less strict, the team will provide input to the manager who submitted a request to improve the concept of implementing the health protocol within 3 days.

However, if it is deemed good enough, the DKI Disparekraf team will conduct a field survey and ask the management to simulate the application of health protocols, starting from visitors entering, watching films, to leaving the cinema.

"After it is approved and declared to be operational, the cinema is immediately opened, but we are asked to invite the public to come to see the operational simulation and give suggestions so that the protocol is better controlled," said Bambang.

After a number of stages have been passed, the cinema management can determine and announce the schedule for opening theaters to the public.
