7 Districts In Pidie Jaya Aceh Flood

BANDA ACEH - The Aceh Disaster Management Agency (BPBA) said seven sub-districts in Pidie Jaya Regency, Aceh were flooded. This condition is triggered by high intensity rainfall.

"According to reports, the water level starts from 50-80 centimeters," said BPBA Chief Executive Ilyas through the BPBA Data and Information Center (Pusdatin) in Banda Aceh, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 18.

Ilyas explained that the flood had overflowed in Pidie Jaya since Monday, January 17, at around 17.00 WIB. The current condition is that the Medan-Banda Aceh Road in the Pidie Jaya-Pidie border area is still flooded, as are several villages which are still inundated by floods.

"It has been raining since 17:00 in Pidie Jaya Regency, causing flooding and flooding in several locations in Pidie Jaya Regency," he said.

According to Pusdati BPBA data, several sub-districts that were flooded include Bandar Baru District, including Keude Lueng Putu Village, Langgien Village, Lancok Baroh Village, Pueb Lueng Nibong Village and Siren Village.

Then, Panteraja Subdistrict includes Gampong Tu Village, Peurade Village, Panteraja Mosque Village, Panteraja Teungoh Village, Panteraja Tunong Village. Meureudu District, includes Poh Roh Meureudu Village, Kudrang Village and Seunong Village.

Furthermore, Bandar Dua Subdistrict, namely Drien Bungong Village, Poh Roh Ulee Glee Village, Alue Sane Village, Babah Krueng Village, Drien Tujoh Village, Alue Mee Village, Alue Ketapang Village and Meurandeh Alue Village. Ulim sub-district includes two villages, namely Bidok Village and Tanjong Ulim Village.

Meanwhile in Trienggadeng and Jangka Buya sub-districts, Pidie Jaya BPBD officers are still collecting data on villages affected by the flood.

"So is the material impact, in Ulim Subdistrict 70 housing units are flooded, while other subdistricts are collecting data," he said.

Temporary data, he said, for the affected victims were 353 families (KK) in Bandar Baru District and 280 people in 90 families in Ulim District. Generally, officers still continue to collect data on affected victims in each area.

"Refugees and no casualties. Currently, the Pidie Jaya Regency BPBD continues to carry out field monitoring and emergency response measures," he said.
