The Glamor Action Of The North Penajam Paser Regent Riding A Private Plane With The Family Will Also Be Investigated By The KPK

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will investigate the use of private aircraft by the inactive North Penajam Paser Regent (PPU) Abdul Gafur Mas'ud.

The incident of Abdul Gafur boarding a private plane with his family was recorded in a video which later went viral on social media. This video was widely circulated after he was named a suspect in alleged bribery related to the procurement of goods and services as well as licensing.

"We will certainly confirm and explore the investigation process that we will carry out to completion," said Acting Spokesperson for the KPK Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri in a written statement, Tuesday, January 18.

Ali said the KPK appreciated information from the public, including the video about Abdul Gafur's private plane.

"Every little information from the public regarding data and information that is suspected to be related to the case that we are currently solving, we appreciate as part of the community's participation in efforts to eradicate corruption that we are doing together," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK appointed Abdul Gafur with the Plt Secretary of North Penajam Paser Regency, Mulyadi; Head of Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning of North Penajam Paser Regency Edi Hasmoro; and Head of the North Penajam Paser District Education, Youth and Sports Office, Jusman, and the Balikpapan Democratic Party DPC General Treasurer, Nur Afifah Balqis as bribe recipients.

Meanwhile, as a suspect for giving bribes, the KPK has named a private party named Achmad Zudi. These six people were named as suspects in alleged bribery in the procurement of goods and services as well as granting permits in North Penajam Paser Regency.

Their determination was initiated from a hand-catching operation (OTT) which was held on Wednesday, January 12 in two locations, namely Jakarta and North Kalimantan. From the results of the action, the KPK also confiscated Rp1 billion and Rp447 million in Balqis's account.

In the video, Abdul is seen enjoying a private jet with a number of people who are suspected to be his family. In addition, there are also romantic moments of the regent of the future capital city of the country with his own wife.

Mentioned in another photo, Abdul was in the same room with a vespa, there was a row of luxury cars. Including, a large car wrapped in plastic which is believed to be a luxury Hummer.
