Bribery Of Drug Dealer's Wife Leads To Dismissal Of A Row Of Medan City Police Officials

MEDAN - The North Sumatra Police took firm steps by removing several Medan City Police officials. This dismissal is the aftermath of the alleged bribery of a drug dealer's wife.

During the trial, a number of officials' names were dragged along. Including the Medan Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Riko Sunarko.

The North Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak, said he had withdrawn the Medan Police Narcotics Head. It is currently in the process of being examined.

"We have withdrawn the narcotics detective, we have withdrawn him as a leader, we have removed all of them. Now in the process of being investigated, Pamen Yanma, North Sumatra Police," said Inspector General Panca in Medan, Monday, January 17.

In addition to the Head of Narcotics as Pamen Yanma, Panca also talked about the possibility of removing the Medan Police Chief. However, the process is still waiting for a few things.

"But you can't be careless. It has to be right. If it was clear that the Criminal Investigation Unit was down from the start, I had already secured it," he continued.

On a different occasion, the Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Grand Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi, said the removal of the Narcotics Officer had been carried out several months ago. The transfer decision is based on the results of the professional ethics trial.

"The drug inspector has been transferred since August," said Hadi.

The results of the ethics trial, said Hadi, decided that the Medan Police Narcotics Head was guilty. He was judged unable to supervise his staff.

"It is evident from the results of the disciplinary hearing that the members were negligent in supervising their members," said Hadi.

In fact, in the case of the alleged receipt of bribes from the wife of this drug dealer, there are other Medan City Police officials who have also been removed. He is the Head of the Drug Investigation Unit.
