Ready Umbrella, BMKG Weather Forecast Heavy Rain Will Hit A Number Of Indonesian Regions

JAKARTA - Today's weather forecast will still be colored with rain in a number of areas in Indonesia. The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts heavy rain which can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds is likely to flush most of Indonesia on Sunday, January 16.

According to the broadcast of weather forecast information on the official BMKG website, heavy rain that can be accompanied by lightning/lightning and strong winds has the opportunity to flush the provinces of Aceh, West Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands, Bengkulu, Jambi, South Sumatra, Bangka Belitung Islands, Lampung, Banten, Central Java, Yogyakarta and West Java.

The Provinces of East Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Maluku, West Papua, and Papua also are forecasted to face heavy rains which may be accompanied by lightning/lightning and strong winds.

In addition, rain that can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds has the potential to occur in the DKI Jakarta, South Kalimantan and Maluku Provinces. Meanwhile, West Sulawesi Province has the potential to face strong winds.

BMKG also conveyed an early warning regarding the possibility of high waves appearing in Indonesian waters.

Waves with a height of four to six meters are predicted to approach the southern Indian Ocean waters of East Nusa Tenggara.

Waves as high as 2.5 to four meters, among others, are likely to occur in the North Natuna Sea, the northern waters of the Natuna Islands, the Flores Sea, the southern waters of Central Java to Sumba, the Bali Strait - Lombok - southern Alas, the waters of Sawu Island, and the southern waters of Rote.

Waves as high as 2.5 to four meters are also predicted to hit parts of the Indian Ocean in the region of West Java to West Nusa Tenggara, the waters of the Sangihe-Talaud Islands, the waters of the Sitaro Islands, the Bitung-Likupang waters, the North Maluku Sea, the North and West Halmahera waters, the Sea Halmahera, and the Pacific Ocean north of Halmahera to West Papua.
