JAKARTA - The National Innovation Research Agency (BRIN) and the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) collaborated in the Research and Innovation Sector on Thursday, January 13. The cooperation was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding by the Head of BRIN Laksana Tri Handoko and the Head of ANRI, Imam Gunarto.

"By submitting an authentic copy of the archive, it is hoped that the integrity and safety of the archive can be maintained in the hands of a professional institution, namely ANRI," he continued.

The Head of ANRI, Imam Gunarto, appreciated BRIN's commitment in increasing cooperation and synergy between institutions in the context of archiving.

"I appreciate BRIN in organizing archives starting from aspects of human resource development, archival systems, policy studies, research and innovation. And being able to strengthen the world of archives through research and innovation processes in accordance with President Jokowi's direction, namely making Indonesia a reference and reference for world archives, said the Imam.

According to Imam, the commitment given by BRIN is an effort to save archives. "We appreciate BRIN who continues to show commitment to saving archives that have value for national accountability," added Imam.
