DPRD Wants DKI Provincial Government To Achieve The 2022 Regional Revenue Target, Unlike Last Year

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission C of the DKI DPRD, Rasyidi, warned the DKI Provincial Government to strive for the realization of regional revenues in 2022 to reach the target.

Rasyidi asked the DKI Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) to evaluate this year's regional revenue so that it doesn't turn out to be like last year. Where, the realization of regional revenues was only Rp. 34.55 trillion from the target of Rp. 37.21 trillion.

Rasyidi highlighted three elements of the tax that will not be realized in 2021. Among them are the motor vehicle tax (PKB), the urban rural building tax (PBB-P2), and the fee for the acquisition of land rights on buildings (BPTHB).

"That's what caused the failure to achieve 3 of the 13 tax elements. In fact, our target was Rp. 37.21 trillion, but only Rp. 34.5 trillion was achieved," said Rasyidi in a statement, Thursday, January 13.

Therefore, this member of the PDIP faction encourages the DKI Bapenda to make the decline in the three regional revenue sectors throughout 2021 an important note in making policies to optimize regional revenue potential this year.

"Because the others have been achieved, these three receipts in 2022 must move together. Starting from the Province to the Regional Revenue Agency Tribes, including the Samsat,” he said. Meanwhile, Head of DKI Bapenda Lusiana Herawati stated that her party would begin to implement efforts to collect regional revenues with an open payment system.

One way is to implement a PBB-P2 payment mechanism that can be flexibly regulated by the taxpayer (WP).

“So, they (WP) can fill in their ability or commitment to make installments, so we can predict how much money will be received in March, how much April will be due. We can make it easier for us to calculate our cashflow," said Lusiana.

It is known that three tax elements did not reach the revenue target in 2021, which the DPRD highlighted was PBB which only reached Rp. 8.63 trillion from the target of Rp. 8.8 trillion or realized 98.12 percent.

Then, PBB-P2 which only reached Rp. 8.48 trillion from the target of Rp. 10.25 trillion or 82.79 percent was realized. Then, BPTHB which only reached Rp. 5.45 trillion from the target of Rp. 6.92 trillion or realized 78.84 percent.
