Motor Vario Driver Ojol Stolen At Sawah Besar Hostels, Two Perpetrators Recorded By CCTV

JAKARTA – RA (32) could not carry passengers because his motorbike was lost in his sister's boarding house on Jalan Karang Anyar Raya, Number 11, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta. Although unlucky, the theft of RA's motorbike was caught on CCTV, making it easier for the police to conduct an investigation to catch the culprit.

The online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) told the story after making a report at the Sawah Besar Police Station, Central Jakarta. According to him, the incident began when he left his Honda Vario with the number B 3171 PGF at his sister's boarding house, which is located on Jalan Karang Anyar Raya.

"The incident happened while I was sleeping at home. I slept at home, not in the boarding house. I left my motorbike at my sister's boarding house." said RA when confirmed, Wednesday, January 12, afternoon.

RA continued, the actions of the perpetrators were caught on CCTV cameras at the scene. From the recording, it can be seen that the two perpetrators launched their actions at around 01.30 WIB.

"The theft was discovered by one of the people there. He saw the door was wide open, then he called the boarding house people who were there. My sister was worried that my motorbike was there, then she woke me up to make sure," explained RA.

Sawah Besar Police Chief Kompol Maulana Mukarom confirmed the theft incident. Currently, they are still investigating.

"Members are checking the crime scene. We have examined a number of witnesses and analyzed the CCTV footage," said the police chief.
