Kemanggissan Accident, Police: Brio Driver Not Under The Effect Of Drugs

JAKARTA - The consecutive accident that occurred on Jalan Kemanggisan Raya, near Palmerah gas station, West Jakarta, was triggered by a hit-and-run by a Honda Brio car with police number B 2402 UKK driven by a man with the initials DN.

The Head of Traffic and Traffic of the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Hartono, explained that at first the perpetrator was driving a car and was about to turn right when he suddenly crossed a straight motorcycle, resulting in a collision.

"The perpetrator was afraid, panicked and mixed into one. Then he walked again and hit him again. Finally he hit a Mobilio and then stopped," AKP Hartono told VOI, Wednesday, January 12.

From the results of the urine examination of the perpetrator, the West Jakarta Traffic Unit officers did not find that the perpetrator was influenced by any substances.

"Nothing has been tested, all negative (drugs)," he said.

To police officers, DN is a private employee in the Slipi area.

"The perpetrators graduated from bachelor's degrees too," he said.

From DN's narrative to the police, he did not experience sleepiness while driving the car. Precisely before the incident occurred, the perpetrator after eating.

"So he panicked, crashed again. There were no (casualties), only injuries. That's right (injured by two motorcyclists)," he said.

Until now, the West Jakarta Metro Police Satlantas Police are still investigating the perpetrator DN.

"It is still being investigated, we are waiting for the results of the victim's post-mortem. The perpetrator is still being investigated," said AKP Hartono.

Previously, a series of accidents involving cars and motorbikes occurred on Jalan Kemanggisan Raya, near the Palmerah gas station, West Jakarta. As a result of the accident, the motorcycle riders with the initials MN and AD suffered a number of injuries. Both were taken to Permata Hijau Hospital.

The incident began when a Honda Brio car with police number B 2402 UKK driven by a driver with the initials DM drove from Jalan Kemanggisan Raya in an east to west direction. When they arrived near the gas station, they hit a motorcycle with number B 4669 BBI driven by MN.

The car drove back to Jalan Panjang, near Permata Hijau Hospital and crashed into a motorcycle with the number B 4936 BTI driven by the driver with the initials AD.

The car kept going and hit a motorcycle with license plate B 3170 SZP driven by ANG and a Datsun car numbered B1442 VMQ driven by RAH. Not only that, the car also hit a Mobilio with number 2719 TFM driven by MR. The three vehicles were damaged. As a result of the accident, a number of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles were damaged. The motive for the accident was a hit-and-run attempt so that it happened again and again.
