Police Investigation Results, 1000 People Have Been Quarantined In 14 Hotels In West Jakarta Area

JAKARTA - West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKBP Joko Dwi Harsono checked hotels in West Jakarta that accommodate residents after traveling from abroad.

"Today's activity is an inspection of the repatriation quarantine in the jurisdiction of the West Jakarta Metro Police. So we will carry out activities like this every day to ensure that the implementation of quarantine repatriation goes well and the appropriate mechanism is needed," said AKBP Joko to reporters, Tuesday, January 11.

Joko explained that in the West Jakarta area, there are 14 hotels that accommodate residents who carry out quarantine after traveling from abroad. Later the investigation will be carried out every day.

"We will carry it out every day in order to support or prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus," he said.

Prior to being quarantined, the participants were confirmed to have tested negative for COVID-19. If they are proven negative for COVID-19, they will only be quarantined at the hotel.

"If it's positive, it's not in this hotel, there are other places. We don't accept the positive here," he said.

The officers also checked the capacity of the number of people being quarantined, the mechanism and the quarantine participants. In addition, Joko said he did not rule out the possibility of random sampling of quarantine participants.

"The results of the examination show that up to today, more than a thousand people have been quarantined for repatriation in the West Jakarta area, and thank God, everything is monitored and under control," said Joko.

Furthermore, every hotel that provides quarantine for residents after traveling from abroad has provided health workers and a COVID-19 task force.
