Annoyed That His Motorbike Was Damaged After Being Borrowed, A Man In North Tapanuli, North Sumatra, Burned His Friend Using Pertalite

MEDAN - A man from Pea Najagar, Tarutung District, North Tapanuli Regency (Taput) with the initials AFB (27) was arrested by the police. He was determined to burn his own friend, Jubel Frides Sihite (31) because he was angry with the victim.

AFB was upset because the victim often borrowed his motorbike. After being borrowed, the perpetrator's motorbike was damaged.

Head of Public Relations of the Taput Police, Aiptu W Baringbing said that the AFB suspect had now been secured.

Aiptu Baringbing explained that the suspect's reckless act of burning the victim occurred on Monday, January 10, at night, at the victim's house. At that time, the suspect met the victim.

"During the meeting, the suspect reminded the victim about his motorbike which had damage to be repaired. But at that time, the victim was always indifferent and playing games like he didn't care," said Aiptu Baringbing, Tuesday, January 11.

Because of the victim's attitude, the suspect was irritated. Later, the suspect saw the pertalite in the bottle and the lighter on the table at the victim's house.

"Then the suspect took a bottle containing pertalite and poured it on the victim's head while turning on the light," he said.

When doused with fuel, there is no suspicion of the victim because he is still playing games on his cellphone. After being burned, the victim screamed for help while running out of the house.

"At that time the suspect saw the victim screaming at the fire. With the help of people around who saw the incident, the fire was extinguished and the victim was taken to the Tarutung General Hospital," he said.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered burns to his head, face, neck and arms. Currently, the victim is still being treated at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the AFB suspect during interrogation said that he often felt disappointed because of the victim's actions.

"I've been disappointed many times," the AFB said.
