Ferdinand Hutahaean Becomes A Suspect Of Hate Speech As Well As SARA 'Your God Is Weak', Directly Jailed In Detention

JAKARTA - Ferdinand Hutahaean has been named by the Criminal Investigation Police of the National Police as a suspect in the case of the 'Your God is weak' tweet. Ferdinand Hutahaean was immediately thrown into custody.

"After the case was carried out, the Ditsiber investigators have obtained 2 pieces of evidence in accordance with Article 184 of the Criminal Procedure Code, thereby raising the status of FH's brother (Ferdinan Hutahaean) from a witness to a suspect," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Monday, January 10.

Previously, Ferdinand Hutahaean met the summons of the Criminal Investigation Police investigator regarding the alleged blasphemy case. In that summons, Ferdinand will be examined as a witness and reported.

"I, Ferdinand Hutahaean, came to fulfill a call from friends of the Cyber Crime Investigation Unit investigators," said Ferdinad to reporters, Monday, January 10.

His presence was to explain the tweet about 'Your God is Weak'. So, said Ferdinand, the problems that occur can be resolved.

"To help police friends to immediately resolve this issue so that it becomes clear, clear and there are no misunderstandings," said Ferdinand.

"Yes, so I hope that my presence this time is a very important moment to explain that all this is just a misunderstanding," he continued.

For information, Ferdinand Hutahaean was reported on suspicion of spreading hoaxes or blasphemy to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. The report follows his tweet on his Twitter account @FerdinandHaean3 about 'Your God is Weak'.

Ferdinand is suspected of violating Article 45 a paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 28 paragraph 2, Law 11 of 2008 concerning ITE, and Article 14 paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code.
