PEKANBARU - Head of the Ombudsman Representative, Riau Province, Ahmad Fitri said that throughout 2021 he had received 123 reports and complaints from the public regarding maladministration cases and 71 percent had been resolved.

"We have tried our best to resolve all complaints from the public and the rest will be resolved in 2022," said Ahmad Fitri, in Pekanbaru, as reported by Antara, Monday, January 10.

He said, in daily practice, the ombudsman has a duty, one of which is to examine reports from the public and investigative initiatives.

"Based on the results of the 2021 compliance assessment, a number of regional governments in Riau have received high compliance predicates or green zones, namely the Riau Provincial Government, Kampar Regency Government, Rokan Hilir, Kuantan Singingi, Indragiri Hilir, Rokan Hulu and Bengkalis," he said.

Especially for the Riau Provincial Government and the Kampar Regency Government, they won the first rank with the high compliance predicate in 2021.

"In awarding the high compliance predicate in 2022, the Indonesian Ombudsman invited five ministries, institutions, provinces, regencies and cities to receive the award directly during the celebration of the high compliance predicate in Jakarta," he said.
