Farmers In West Aceh Can Smile Happy, Regency Government Distributes 275 Tons Of NPK Fertilizer, Free!

ACEH - West Aceh District Government through the Department of Agriculture, Food Crops and Horticulture, distributed assistance in the form of 275 tons of NPK fertilizer, which was distributed free of charge to communities who are members of farmer groups in 12 sub-districts in this area.

"The distribution of free fertilizer assistance aims to increase farmers' rice production in West Aceh," said Head of the West Aceh Regency Food Crops and Horticulture Agriculture Service, Safrizal, Antara, Monday, January 10.

The assistance for NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer to rice farmer groups in West Aceh is under the guidance of the local district Agricultural Extension Center, sourced from the Regency Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBK) for the 2021 Fiscal Year.

"The recipients of this fertilizer assistance are lowland rice farmer groups who planted rice in the 2021 gadu season," Safrizal added.

According to him, the distribution of 275,000 kilograms (275 tons) of fertilizer is intended for an area of 4,400 hectares of rice fields spread across West Aceh Regency.

He said this assistance program was a manifestation of the commitment of the West Aceh Regent, H Ramli MS, to make West Aceh Regency a food independent area.

"This assistance is also expected to reduce the dependence of the people of West Aceh on the supply of food sources from outside the region," said Safrizal.
